SWD Club Champ Show Update

Entry numbers, Ring Location and Order of Judging Details


With entries to the club championship show now closed, we are able to bring you details of the final number of entries for the show.


In the main judging classes 38 dogs make up a total entry of 48 to be judged by Sheila Burditt.


11 dogs are entered for the Special Award Classes to be judged by Shirley Hockenhull.


Judging will take place in Pavilion A, Ring 3 at the Staffordshire Country Showground (on Saturday 7th May 2022) following the judging of the National Dog show.



Please be aware that judging of other breeds will take place in the National Dog Show prior to judging of the Spanish Water Dogs and then the club Championship Show. Order of judging on the day is scheduled as follows:


  • Italian Spinone - 49 dogs making up 52 entries; followed by

  • Spaniel (Sussex) - 35 dogs making up 41 entries (not before 10:30am); followed by

  • Spanish Water Dogs - 37 dogs making up 43 entries (not before 11:30am); followed by

  • Spanish Water Dog Club Championship Show - 38 dogs making up 48 entries

For all those travelling to the show via the M6, there are ongoing roadworks between junctions 13 to 15. The exit to Staffordshire Showground is via Junction 14 so please bear this in mind and allow sufficient time to arrive.
